Broncos buck Pilots in three

The Portland Pilots baseball team came into last weekend with high hopes for a series win over the Santa Clara Broncos. The Broncos were 0-6 in the WCC, so the 2-4 Pilots had something to prove on their home field. Unfortunately though, it was for naught, as Santa Clara swept the three game series, beating the Pilots by only four combined runs over the series.

Intramural soccer scores big

What has eight arms, two tentacles, and is over 30 feet in length? A colossal squid. What has 14 players, matching uniforms, and a team motto? The Colossal Squids. The Division II team, The Colossal Squids, is one of 21 teams involved with University of Portland intramural soccer this spring semester.

Two years ago, men's basketball Head Coach Eric Reveno was coming off his first season on The Bluff. His inaugural season was not filled with much success, but he knew where the team was headed. It was then that he started planning a trip to Australia for the team that would match them up against top competition in the heart of the offseason.
